Llynfi Valley Angling Association - A Fishing Club
The Llynfi Valley Angling Association website was created for a local fishing club based in South Wales, who needed a straightforward but effective online presence. Their main goals were to promote the club to new and existing members, streamline the membership process, and reduce the costs and admin associated with collecting payments.
This project was built using the 5-page Mountain Pack Website, ideal for small organizations looking for a professional, easy-to-navigate site. The layout includes a Home page, Membership Info, River Info, River Byelaws and the Club’s constitution. The structure keeps information clear and accessible, making it simple for users of all levels to find what they need.
To manage membership payments, a Stripe integration was added. This solution allows members to pay online directly through the website without the need for a full Squarespace e-commerce subscription. By choosing Stripe over their previous PayPal-only setup, the club has benefited from lower transaction fees and a more streamlined payment experience for users. Payments are now processed faster, and the club admins can easily track and manage renewals.
A custom-designed interactive map was also embedded to showcase key angling spots across the Llynfi Valley. This feature adds an engaging and informative element to the site, particularly useful for visitors or newer members unfamiliar with the area.
This build also included the D.I.Y. Branding and Logo Bolt-On, which provided the club with a simple, clean visual identity that fits its community-focused mission. The overall look is approachable and reflects the natural, outdoorsy vibe of the valley and the sport itself.
The Llynfi Valley Angling Association now has a cost-effective, user-friendly website that supports its operations while providing a better experience for its members.
